Shipping container mural

August 03, 2017

Strikers Hockey Club have commissioned local artist Tank to add vibrancy to the entrance of the Shepparton hockey precinct.

Strikers have recently completed a project which has seen the Club’s shipping container, normally used for storage, into a bright and welcoming piece of art.

The container has been transformed from its previous dull appearance to bear the Club’s newly designed logo on a stylised hockey background.

The logo featured as part of the new mural was designed by Tank and voted the most popular of several options by the Club's members.

Strikers are proud to have completed this project and feel as though it provides a unique and striking point of entry to the hockey fields.

“With all of the work going into the Sports Precinct as well as the completion of a second hockey pitch, it seemed a great opportunity for the Club to contribute to the look of the precinct and make its mark” Club President Evan Collins said.

The project was jointly funded through Greater Shepparton City Council’s Community Matching Grant program as well as the Goulburn Valley Hockey Association.
