Haley Trotter and Jessica Kirwin have a goal to give back to the community, and that is exactly what they are working to achieve.
The co-owners of Strap & Wrap aim to provide quality sports tape to the community at a reasonable price.
Strap & Wrap was inspired by Hayley’s father, the current President of the Violet Town Football Club, who was faced with the ever increasing cost of sports tapes and bandages.
Together Hayley and Jessica combined their knowledge and experience in Logistics and Marketing to develop a more cost effective alternative.
With both girls born in the Goulburn Valley, they share a strong desire to give back to the communities they were raised in.
“We currently sponsor the KDFNL, but would love to one day expand our sponsorships to other local leagues and sporting communities,” Jessica said.
“It would be great to provide player sponsorships to young people who would love to be able to play sports, but may be faced with financial barriers.”
As active members of the community, the girls understand the importance of sporting clubs and the roles they play within the community.
“Our aim is to become market leaders and the number one choice for all sporting clubs Australia wide,” Jessica said.
The girls have faced a number of challenges along the way, but are determined to overcome any trying times they may face.
“It’s hard being a small business amongst a highly competitive market, but we believe we have proved that with commitment, determination, a great business strategy and a willingness to learn, you can create something great.”
Strap & Wrap stock a range of tapes and bandages, including Rigid Tape, Elastic Adhesive Bandages, Stretch Tape, Blood Tape and Kinesiology Muscle Recovery Tape.
