Sharing her passion with the community

October 18, 2017

Max Bartlett, owner of Food to the Max Cafe.

A passion for food led Max Bartlett to acquire her own café in the heart of Shepparton.

Two weeks ago, Max opened Food To The Max Café at the La Trobe University Shepparton campus.

Having moved to Tatura when she was 30-years-old, Max loves the great community spirit present in the Goulburn Valley.

She is looking forward to sharing her love for quality food with the community she lives in.

“Everything is homemade,” Max said.

“We’ve currently got a variety of things on offer, including satay chicken pies, stout beer and beef pies, and lamb and chilli sausage rolls.”

With vegetarian and gluten free options also available, Max believes there is something for everyone on the menu.

Max is planning to introduce new items to the menu next year, including Taco Tuesday and Souvlaki Fridays.

Food to the Max are specialising in rumble roast coffee, being the only café in town to use this particular roast.

“Coffee beans nowadays are like a fine wine,” Max said.

With some exiting plans in store for the future, Max is hoping to give the space a new look and feel.

“We’re hoping to make it feel more café-ish.”

Pop in to see Max and her team at 210 Fryers Street Shepparton, from 7.30am till 3pm Monday to Friday.
