As you walk into Nourish on Fryers Street, you are instantly welcomed by friendly staff and a beautiful, warm atmosphere.
Owners Nick and Maria Raftellis strive for nothing but perfection, stressing the importance of putting the customer first.
With over 30 years in the hospitality industry, the couple first opened a fish and chip shop together in their hometown of Echuca.
As their interest in healthy and nutritious food grew, Nick and Maria decided to expand their brand and opened Sushi Bite in Deniliquin.
Noticing the popularity and demand for quality food and wholesome products, the couple opened Nourish in Shepparton, September 2016.
“We want to be different and unique to everything else in town. We are very passionate about what we do,” said Maria.
“You have to follow your own lead and believe in your product. It’s going to succeed if you have dedication and passion.”
Since their inception over a year ago, Nourish has been very well received, popular for their sushi, macro bowls and healthy sweet treats.
“We make everything from scratch and even put the flavours into our mayo!” said Maria.
Manager Carlie Monichino is just as passionate about quality products and healthy eating as her bosses.
“We look into the benefits of each ingredient, what works for people and what tastes great,” said Carlie.
“It’s simple food done perfect; making healthy eating exciting!”
“We are all a big family here. I love coming into work.”
Twice a week, Nick travels to Melbourne picking up fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables’, ensuring the menu is always different.
“We don’t have a set menu. We want to keep our flair going and keep the customers coming back,” said Maria.
“It also gives our staff a chance to be creative and make up their own menu items.”
“It gives everyone a self-esteem boost and makes work fun,” said Carlie.
Visit the team from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday.
