Shepparton United Cricket Club are the most recent recipients of the Holden Home Ground Advantage Grant.

At the beginning of the year, the club created a wish list of the things they would need over the next five years.

It was a wonderful surprise when the club received $15 000 for a reconditioned cricket pitch roller.

“It was great to receive such a generous sum. We’ve been battling away with a hundred year old one for many years,” said Shepparton United Cricket Club vice president Tony Giblin.

Thompson Motor Group dealer principal Jarrod Thompson, said supporting grassroots clubs like Shepparton United was why the program was created.

“Local sporting clubs play a really important role within their communities and we are thrilled to help invest in their futures.”

“We’re very proud to be able to donate $15 000 to the Shepparton United Cricket Club.”

In recent times, Thompson Motor Group has donated over $30 000 to local sporting clubs as part of the Home Ground Advantage program.
