Hoping to become a zoo keeper, it was no surprise Shepparton’s Tahlia Cooper jumped in to help a thirsty koala over the weekend.
The 17-year-old said they had been camping near the Murray River at Morgan’s Beach when they saw the furry friend in need of a drink.
“We saw it come down the tree,” Tahlia said.
Looking slightly drowsy, Tahlia offered the koala some of her water.
“He ended up drinking three bottles of water,” she said.
